MISSION STATEMENT:

My Financial Foundation exists to honor God through humble servant leadership of others. Our proven system helps place everyday people on the path to financial freedom by teaching them how to give, save, and build wealth.  We teach our clients how to properly manage their finances through the application of time-tested, biblically-based financial principles that actually work for real people - in the real world.

My Financial Foundation in Greenville-Spartanburg, SC is here  to help you eliminate your debt, save money and succeed financially by giving you the knowledge and motivation to take control of your own financial destiny!  Dumping debt and attaining wealth aren’t as hard as they seem – if you have a plan! We take Financial Advice, Debt Counseling, and Wealth Building a step further by helping you develop an attainable 'real-world' plan specific to your needs. We offer a FREE step-by-step Personal Financial Planning Guide as well as a range of Financial Counseling Services.

Bob Harrington, the Chaplain of Bourbon Street, once said “the best way to help poor people is NOT to be one of them." At My Financial Foundation, we agree. We are not meant to live under the bondage of debt and financial ignorance. If we give just a small amount of focus and discipline to our finances, we can live in the abundance that God put us on this Earth to experience. Money should not be the primary motivating factor in our lives—God, family, relationships, health, and happiness should all precede money. However, only two conditions can exist in your relationship with your money: you can control it, or it will control you–PERIOD.

The Bible does not say, “Money is the root of all evil,” but it does say, “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.” There is a big difference between the two. Once we learn how to handle our money responsibly, more will be entrusted to us. Once we understand how to be excellent stewards of what we have been given, then it can be our pleasure to help others gain financial freedom as well. That is our goal at My Financial Foundation—to help our clients find financial freedom.

Let me tell you up front - I am not a stock picker, day trader, 'Certified Financial Planner', tax attorney, nor estate attorney. What My Financial Foundation provides is the opportunity to have a third party evaluate your financial situation and to develop a financial plan based on empirical data and facts, rather than emotion. Everything we discuss is 100% confidential, and it doesn’t matter how bad or how good your financial situation. My Financial Foundation offers you fee-based coaching (with no strings attached), a written set of action items based on your personal situation, and one month of free follow-up accountability.

We will talk about establishing an emergency fund, becoming debt free, budgeting your income, planning for college/retirement, evaluating the different types of investment vehicles (their benefits and disadvantages), as well as the different types of insurance. But most importantly, we will learn how to build real wealth.

For those people who aren’t in financial trouble but just want some objective advice on their finances, My Financial Foundation offers a great way to evaluate your present situation and make sure that you are doing “wealthy people” things in every area of your plan. My favorite part of financial coaching is when clients get to this level—because that’s where all the real fun starts!

I am not a 'get-rich-quick' type of guy -- I shoot straight with my clients and help them to develop a strategy that works in the REAL WORLD. I used to be in debt, demoralized by it...and now I am on the other side with no debt, a full emergency fund, my own home, and my own business as a financial coach, speaker, author and investor. I don't say this to impress you, but to impress upon you that I am speaking from 100% experience – that’s the best kind of 'credential.'  More importantly, I walk the talk. I will not recommend anything to you, that I haven't already been through and accomplished myself.

For years now, I have been studying the financial habits of the wealthy. Make no mistake about it, there are certain things that wealthy people do, and certain things that poor/middle class people do. If we do 'poor people' things, we will always be poor/middle class. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again...yet expect a different result! So naturally, if we start to do 'wealthy people' things, we will eventually become wealthy.  Let me clarify...

I am not saying that being wealthy makes you a good person,
or that being poor/middle class makes you a bad person.

Money, just for the sake of having money, is not our goal here. If that is your goal, you won't get very far. What we want to accomplish by emulating wealthy people, is to gain control over our finances so that we can begin to live in a state of abundance. Money is an excellent servant, but a tyrannical master.

When I see people living in a state of lack, I don't see the best in the human spirit showing itself. I see people selfishly doing for themselves with the excuse that "I have to get by and take care of myself." However, when I see people living in states of abundance, I see the best in the human spirit showing itself. I see people giving, without the expectation of return. I see people living with less stress and more inner-peace. I see better relationships with loved ones, family and friends. That is what life is all about. The grass is definitely greener over here - let my time-tested, proven system help you get over the fence too!
